PAMWG Reports & Presentations
PAMWG 2007 Industry Challenges and Opportunities Report
The owners of Portland’s publicly funded affordable housing released a report at CDN's October 18 Public Forum that highlights some of the challenges they face to preserve and maintain their vital niche in the housing market. While the primary challenge is a shortfall in public funds to meet the housing need, downward economic trends and systemic inefficiencies have the potential to destabilize the housing of many of Portland’s most vulnerable residents.

Resident Services Working Group
RSWG’s mission is to improve community development organizations' ability to connect their low income residents with needed services and involve tenants in meaningful activities.
The RSWG goals are to:
1.) Participate in trainings, invite speakers, and organize forums to improve organizational and staff performance.
2.) Identify key barriers and provide recommendations for decision makers regarding housing and services programs and policies.
3.) Educate the community at large about Portland’s low income residents and their need for stable housing and services.
4.) Provide a regular peer-to-peer network of housing providers to communicate in a safe environment and receive input about program challenges.
RSWG meets the second Tuesday each month at Oregon ON, 847 NE 19th Avenue from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.
For working group updates or participation information, contact Karen Walker, Network Assistant. Current meetings are listed in the Calendar section on the CDN home page.
